Non-members and the general public can search/browse the ACM Digital Library: In an effort to expand and enhance access to the ACM Digital Library, the computing industry's most trusted resource for high quality scholarly and practitioner-oriented information, for its nearly 1,500,000 individual users, ACM has now launched a new service that enables end users at subscribing institutions to access the complete ACM Digital Library from anywhere they may be in the world using any web-enabled device. For the next three months, there will be no fees assessed for accessing or downloading work published by ACM. We hope this will help researchers, practitioners and students maintain access to our publications as well as increasing visibility and awareness of ACM’s journals, proceedings and magazines. The easiest and most affordable way for academic institutions to obtain access to the Digital Library is by participating in one of the many academic library consortia that ACM works with worldwide. What is remote access to the ACM Digital Library? This new service authorizes any individual at a subscribing institution to access contents to the ACM Digital Library outside the authenticated network using any web-enabled device, such as a desktop, laptop, smartphone, or tablet.
